Skin cancer is not worth it.

The photo above is a picture taken of me after my surgeon removed the Basal Cell Carcinoma from my face.  It is not a pretty sight, and was quite traumatizing to have to go through.  Luckily, no other "spots" have appeared, but I continue to have my skin checked annually.  Unfortunately, it took the threat of skin cancer to get me out of the sun and tanning beds.  Don't be a statistic.  Being pale far outweighs the risk of skin cancer.

New York, NY (December 20, 2009) - From a groundbreaking new study confirming that exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light is the most common cause of melanoma to the proposed tax on the use of indoor tanning beds, there are a host of compelling reasons to give up tanning in the new year.
